The Birth of Aphrodite

The first in my Mythologies Reborn series is my own rendition of the myth of Aphrodite's birth. In the myth Aphrodite is born after the castration of Oranos when the genitals hit the water and then foam rises and Aphrodite arises in a shell. I twisted it up a little bit by thinking that Aphrodite was in the process of being formed. If you look at the image you will notice that the model of Aphrodite seems to be composed of liquid and she is dripping after having just emerged from the foam.
